I'm going through my vacation in reverse because I work in mysterious ways. After a really great morning zip-lining, we stopped by this insane junk store on our way out of town.
This place had everything! I looked through his old record collection and he had a room just of clocks and mirrors.

This little bugger nearly gave me a heart attack! I thought he was fake but I blew on his ear and it twitched. How precious is his expression? :3 |
The store was right next door to this old cemetery that we walked around. A lot of the tombstones were broken and weathered.

The oldest headstone I found- Born in 1799. |
We overnighted in Lebanon, OH because it was just 20 minutes away from Ozone zip-lining. Our motel was really cute and old school with really intense air conditioning. The city center was a look more awesome than any of us expected! We walked through the oldest hotel in Ohio where 12 presidents have stayed (10 of which were before 1958). It was a bit weird returning to Toledo, a big, (ugly), car-driven city after a week of quaint, tiny, artsy towns throughout the south. We stopped by a small city called Berea on our way up to avoid hitting Cincinnati rush hour traffic. They've got a small, arty, tuition-free college, a dulcimer shop, and tons of art galleries. We bought an intricate black soap stone sculpture from a fair trade shop and chap stick from Zimbabwe. There were also giant hands everywhere.
