Danke, Leopold Elem.

Wednesday was my last day student teaching at Leopold! Can't believe I've got a whole year under my belt. Next year I'm at a middle school in Middleton five days a week, so it will be much more intense, but I'm already looking forward to it. As part of our student teaching requirements, I had to film myself teaching a couple times and it's such a hoot to show my family myself rambling about school supplies and colors to a bunch of fifth graders :]
Leopold loves displaying student artwork on its walls, and I've seen so many pretty fantastic projects this year. They've painting Van Gogh's Sunflowers and their own Rainbow Fish. As I was leaving the other day, I saw this piece of truth in the Kindergarten hallway:

"I like my mom very much because she is nice and she gives me bananas." This kid is basically me.
One of my students gave an entire biographical presentation about Thomas Jefferson without mentioning or knowing that he was our President. Pretty great.

"Sadly, he died."
